Chitpavan Foundation

 

        May I put forward my understanding of Chitpavan Foundation (CF) for you and of course for your learned comments? 

 

        I think Chitpavan Foundation is the apex body of all the Chitapavns all over the place.  It is trully the global body representing each and every Chitpavan in the world and certainly working for the welfare, upliftment, progress and prosperity of the Chitpavan community in every walk of life.

 

        I look at the Chitpavan Foundation as a mammoth Pyramid!

 

        1. The base of this pyramid is all the Chitpavan Kulas such as Aptes, Bapats, Chitales, Damles and so forth.  To make the foundation of the CF steely, solid and strong we have to make each Kul a keystone of the foundation.  Each Kul needs to approach each and every member, collect data, network, understand the needs and requirements of the members and make Kul a cohesive solid force for the benefits of the Kul in particular and Chitpavan community in general.  Kul Vrutant, annual gatherings, cultural get togethers, helping the needys, celebrating memorable occasions, regular Kul news broadcasts will cement the bonds amongst the Kul members and bulid the solid, strong Kul.  Imagine if each and every Chitpavan Kul takes the shape well organised financially and physically, structured, cohesive, homogenious what will happen to the Kul members and Chitpavan community.  So we have to make the foundation of CF rock solid by building each Kul Mandal effectively and efficiently with the visionary zeal and enthusiasm. 

 

        2.  Once we construct mammoth base of all the Kulas, next layer of the Pyramid will be made up of local Chitpavan Sanghs such as Akola, Belgaum, Chiplun, Dombivali and so forth.  These Sanghs with the help of local Kul representations will work for CF for the bettermen of local Chitpavan community.  Also Chitpavn Kattas such as Dadar, Thane will devote resourses for the youngesters.  Naturally Sanghs and Kattas will work hand in hand for the upliftment of Chitpavan community in the sphere of their influnce.

 

        3.  Now we come to the nxt layer of the Pyramid which will be built by regional Chitpavn Sanghs such as Akhil Karnatak Chitpavan Sangh, Madhya Pradesh Chitpavan Sangh.  The fabric of these regional Sanghs will be woven by all the Kulas, Chitpavan Sanghs and Kattas in that region.  In other words regional Sanghs will represent each and every Chitpavan in that region and work with the help of Kulas, Chitpavan Sanghs and Kattas.  It will be these regional sangh's sole responsibilities to serve all the needs and requirements of the Chitpavans in that region, arrange regional comvocations, seminars, debates to promote Chitpavan culture in the region. 

 

        4.  Now the final pinnacle of this Pyramid is Chitpavan Foundation!  It is us, each and every one of us Chitpavn will create and shape this apex body of ours.  Every Kul, every Sangh, every Katta, every regional Sangh together means Chitpavan Foundation, the mother organisation of all the Chitpavans all over the place.  There is no formal membership because by definition each and every Chitpavan is the founding and life member of the Chitpavan Foundation which will cater to the needs and requirements of the Chitpavan community at large to preserve and promote the Chitpavan culture!  It is unto us to gather under the flag of the Chitpavan Foundation and serve each other!
